FAULT LOG / RESET: Fault History Review and Controlled Reset

The drive has a stored fault, intermittent trip history or a user request to clear the fault without understanding the triggering condition.

Meaning of the indication

Fault reset is an evidence-management step, not a repair. The fault log should be captured before clearing so timing, repeated code patterns and operating conditions can be reconstructed.

Checking order

  1. Photograph or record the displayed fault code, time/order and operating condition before clearing.
  2. Separate a single nuisance trip from a repeating protection event.
  3. Review whether the fault appears after power-up, start command, acceleration, deceleration, stop or ambient heating.
  4. Confirm external start/stop and direction commands are not causing unexpected restarts or resets.
  5. Only reset after the immediate hazardous cause has been evaluated.

Fault-specific caution

Clearing a fault without recording it destroys diagnostic evidence and can hide a dangerous recurring condition.
