Scope of this technical record
Use this workflow when ACS800 control electronics, panel state, external 24 V or RMIO/RDCU identity may be the first service route.
Do not probe or disconnect internal control wiring unless the drive is made safe and the technician is qualified for industrial-drive service.
ACS800 control-power workflow route
The workflow distinguishes supply, load, control-unit and interface readiness evidence.
ACS800 control-power workflow
From symptom to control-power route
A dark panel, unstable boot or PPCC fault at power-up should not immediately become an inverter-interface board claim. The control side must first be described: how it is powered, whether the panel is stable, whether external 24 V is used and whether connected I/O or option loads are involved.
This workflow is intentionally evidence-based. It helps define whether the service path is external supply correction, control-unit repair, option/load isolation or PPCC branch investigation.
Control-power workflow outputs
| Finding | Service route | Next page |
|---|---|---|
| Control board not stable | Supply/load evidence | RMIO/RDCU control-supply path |
| Control alive, interface not ready | PPCC link and interface evidence | PPCC interface path |
| External 24 V unclear | Wiring and parameter context | RDCU/RMIO evidence record |
| Option/I/O load suspect | Branch isolation evidence | Control-unit repair intake |

Technical basis and reference documents
This is an independent editorial technical reference. Original manufacturer documentation remains controlling for installation, repair and commissioning decisions.
OEM basis for ACS800 fault messages, PPCC LINK context and interface-related status evidence.
OEM basis for cabinet-drive hardware safety, RMIO/control-board and module arrangement context.
Public field-service discussion showing why fibre-link condition and control-power readiness can matter in PPCC diagnosis.
Linked records
The drive has lost credible communication or status between control electronics and inverter-interface electronics. The service route must separate RMIO/RDCU control-power evidence, fibre or galvanic PPCC link condition, INT/AINT interface state and PBU branch/module routing before any board is replaced.
This path records how control-board power, external 24 V use, panel state and I/O board identity affect PPCC and dark-control symptoms on ACS800 systems.
Turn this record into a qualified service request
A repair decision is much more reliable when the request includes the exact identity of the drive, the first fault evidence and the machine condition when the symptom appeared.
- Complete drive type code / MLFB or nameplate model
- Fault code, fault value and first event before reset
- When the event appears: power-up, enable, ramp, run, decel or stop
- Motor/cable connected or isolated during the symptom
- Visible board, option-card, module and connector identifiers
- Previous repair history, replacement parts and repeat-failure pattern
