Scope of this technical record
Evidence package for Hitachi SJ300 / L300P E09 undervoltage, no-display, used-board and repair-versus-replacement decisions.
The record is designed to qualify a service request, not to invite unsafe component-level work on an energised drive.
Hitachi control-power evidence package
The evidence package turns E09 or no display into repair, donor-board or replacement advice.
Minimum evidence package
An actionable request needs more than 'E09' or 'no display'. It needs the exact type code, voltage class, line supply, symptom timing, display state, charge indication, wiring photos, board labels, previous surge/fuse history and whether a donor board has already been tried.
Evidence fields
| Field | Why it matters | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Type code / suffix | Determines voltage and board family | SJ300-075HFU or local suffix |
| Timing | Separates supply, load and restart issues | Power-up / run / after dip |
| Display state | Separates fault-code and no-display routes | E09 photo / blank keypad |
| Input evidence | Prevents wrong board replacement | Fuses, contactor, line voltage |
| Board labels | Controls donor compatibility | DB family, frame and revision |
Repair outcome decision
Repair is plausible when the evidence narrows to a supply or board boundary and compatibility is known. A donor board is plausible only when voltage class, suffix and board family match. Replacement is the better answer when evidence is incomplete, failure is repeated, or the old drive is critical to production and cannot be validated safely.
Field record checklist
- Ask for photos before parts advice.
- Do not accept a family name as board compatibility proof.
- Document previous resets, surges and fuse events.
Technical basis and reference documents
This is an independent editorial technical reference. Original manufacturer documentation remains controlling for installation, repair and commissioning decisions.
Public SJ300 troubleshooting chapter used to confirm E09 undervoltage and trip-history diagnostic context.
Official SJ300 manual used to confirm qualified-personnel and inverter safety context.
Public L300P manual used for E09 / USP and restart behaviour around undervoltage trips.
Reviewed internally for SJ300 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW board-region evidence. The drawing files are not redistributed as public sources.
Linked circuit records
Routes E09 and related reset behaviour through upstream line condition, fuses, contactor, precharge, DC-link charge/storage and bus sensing before board-level repair decisions.
Separates dark display, intermittent reset and no-code cases into input energy, auxiliary supply startup, low-voltage rails, keypad connection and control-board load evidence.
Connects the E09 undervoltage route to the no-display route so a technician can decide whether the problem is upstream supply, precharge/DC link, auxiliary power or downstream board loading.
Turn this record into a qualified service request
A repair decision is much more reliable when the request includes the exact identity of the drive, the first fault evidence and the machine condition when the symptom appeared.
- Complete drive type code / MLFB or nameplate model
- Fault code, fault value and first event before reset
- When the event appears: power-up, enable, ramp, run, decel or stop
- Motor/cable connected or isolated during the symptom
- Visible board, option-card, module and connector identifiers
- Previous repair history, replacement parts and repeat-failure pattern
